What type of operation would a Chargrill do best in?

The chargrill is a great addition to any kitchen, widely used across all types of cuisine. This particular chargrill is gas powered and can be LPG meaning outdoor operators can grill as if they were indoors, and indoor operators can achieve an outdoor BBQ flavour!

Does the chargrill come in different sizes?

We have 2 sizes, either 800mm or 1060mm wide.

What is the cooking process of a chargrill?

Tubular stainless steel burners heat the lava rock which is laid on special supports made of heavy duty stainless steel mesh.

What makes the Universo Chargrill different to others?

The Universo Chargrill has a height adjustable grill, simply by tweaking two leavers, allowing flexible cooking dependent on what product is being grilled.

How much lava rock should be used to achieve the best results?

Universo recommend ensuring only one layer of lava rock is used, this will allow the gas to flow through evenly, creating an even heat across the top for perfect grilling!

What is the loading of the chargrill?

The smaller model is 14kW and the larger model is 23kW, both require a ½ inch gas hose.

What maintenance is recommended for the chargrill?

The lavastones and grills must be removed at least once a week to allow the user to clean the burners with a soft bristle brush. We also recommend that the fat collecting tray is cleaned everyday after service.

How do I clean the body of the chargrill?

We recommend a daily wipe down of the exterior of the chargrill using a damp cloth with warm, soapy water. Do not use acid, chlorinated detergents or abrasive pads, as these will damage the stainless steel surface.
