Planetary mixer

What type of operation would a planetary mixer do best in?

These machines are widely versatile and are often found in the kitchens of schools, hotel, restaurants and hospitals. The mixer is supplied with three attachments including wire whisk, dough hook and flat beater. They can be used for mixing a whole host of things including sauces, cakes and small batches of dough.

Can I use the planetary mixer for mixing dough?

We wouldn’t recommend using a planetary mixer for mixing large batches of dough. We would recommend using a specialist dough mixer such as our Cuppone Silea, which has a powerful motor that is built to be a lean, mean dough mixing machine!

Is the planetary mixer available in different sizes?

We have a range of sizes available including 10, 20 & 30 litre models. To find the right model for you, give us a call to discuss your requirements, 0161 633 5797.

What is the difference between a standard and economy model?

The standard planetary mixer comes with a mincing hub, whereas the economy version doesn’t!

What are the power requirements for the planetary mixer?

All sizes simply run off a 13amp plug!

What will happen if I buy the wrong size mixer?

We always recommend speaking to us regarding your requirements. If you buy a mixer that is not of a sufficient size and consistently overload it, this can result in motor failure and will not be covered under warranty.

How do I clean the planetary mixer?

Spilled food should be removed immediately from all exterior surfaces. Also, it is important to clean the mixer after every use. To remove dirt or marks from the mixer, it is best to wipe with a soft damp cloth. The stainless steel is washable. The mixer must not be cleaned using a high-pressure jet.  Please note that attachments and machine are not suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher due to caustic soda contained within the chemicals. They should be cleaned with soapy water.

Please also ensure you remove any flour residue from the runners and oil regularly, build-up of flour in the runners will stop the bowl from lifting.

What do I do if my mixer breaks down?

In the unlikely event you have a problem with your mixer, we offer a free loan service to get you up and running as quickly as possible. We will send a loan mixer to you to use whilst we collect yours and bring it back to our workshop for repair. We offer this service as stripping down a mixer for repair is a very greasy and complex job, we take the mixer off site to make life easier for you!

If you have an issue and your machine is under warranty please contact the distributor you purchased it from, who will raise a warranty call with us.
